Junge Innovatoren
The "Junge Innovatoren" (Young Innovators) funding program helps young research assistants from universities and non-university research institutions to become self-employed in the manufacture and distribution of innovative products or processes.
The program aims to promote the transfer of technology and expertise from universities to industry. The focus is particularly on promising fields such as optoelectronics, biotechnology, medical technology, solar technology, automation technology, and mechatronics.
Who is eligible for funding?
- Scientists from research institutions and universities.
- University graduates and former research assistants (up to 18 months after graduation or departure).
- Startup teams of up to 3 people.
- A company that has already been established may not have been in existence for more than one year.
What is eligible for funding?
- Preparing to start a business with innovative products, processes, or services
How is funding provided?
- Personnel resources (securing personal livelihood): Remuneration 50% TV-L 13
- Material expenses (licenses, consulting expenses, investments): €20,000 per team
- Coaching: 5,500 euros
