KTUR² Startup Job Fair: A Successful Evening of Exchange, Opportunities, and Inspiration

The KTUR² Startup Job Fair Freiburg 2026 proved to be a highly successful event, bringing together inspiring people, meaningful conversations, and tangible opportunities. The fair achieved its core objectives: making startup careers more visible, enabling connections for jobs, internships, and co-founder opportunities, fostering entrepreneurial thinking, strengthening the Upper Rhine startup network, improving application skills, and connecting like-minded individuals.

Around 100 students and PhD candidates attended the event at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Freiburg. A total of 14 startups from across the Upper Rhine region—from Freiburg to Strasbourg to Basel—participated, alongside founders and network partners who presented their work and opportunities.

In addition to networking, participants benefited from application training sessions and had the opportunity to receive professional application photos. The evening concluded with a joint BBQ at the entrance of the Botanical Garden, creating a relaxed atmosphere for further exchange.

What stood out most were the many meaningful conversations at eye level, the genuine interest in projects and ideas, and the strong sense of entrepreneurial curiosity. Beyond concrete job and internship opportunities, the event also inspired many participants to consider starting ventures of their own.

The event can be considered a successful first edition. The organizing team will now reflect on the experience and begin planning future editions.
