At the University of Freiburg, there are two student initiatives that deal with start-up topics and give interested students access to the topic of “starting a business” and exciting projects and formats while they are still studying.
The Foundersclub is a student initiative that brings together students interested in entrepreneurship and startups. Its members come from a wide variety of backgrounds: computer science, business administration, chemistry, law, environmental sciences, and theology.
Trirhena is a student-run non-profit association that builds bridges between the University of Freiburg and regional companies. Students are given the opportunity to directly apply their university knowledge in interdisciplinary project work with companies. In return, companies have the chance to get to know committed and qualified young professionals.
